About Finding Nyah: Creating Inclusive Community Spaces
Our Mission: Embracing the Perfect Imperfections
Finding Nyah was born out of a simple, powerful belief: there is an immense beauty, a profound strength of connection in our #perfectimperfections.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all boxes. Whether navigating neurodiversity, managing trauma, or seeking a different path for education, life can feel fragmented. Our mission is to create safe, vibrant, and nurturing community spaces where individuals, families, and home educators can come exactly as they are to heal, learn, connect, and grow.
What We Stand For: Our Core Pillars
1. Neurodivergent and SEND-Inclusive Support
Traditional environments aren't always designed for everyone. We specialize in creating alternative, highly accessible sensory spaces and therapeutic workshops specifically tailored for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Every project we design prioritizes safety, comfort, and sensory wellbeing.
2. A Vibrant Home-Education Community
Home education shouldn't mean educating in isolation. Through our inclusive group workshops, we provide a creative, supportive hub for Manchester home educators and families. We blend practical life skills, community engagement, and alternative learning to help children and young people thrive outside the traditional classroom.
3. Sustainable Wellbeing and Circular Community
We believe that connecting with the earth helps us connect with ourselves. From collaborations designing accessible sensory gardens for disability colleges to hosting hands-on forestry sessions, nutrition and cooking workshops with local partners, our projects focus on sustainability, food education, and mindful growth.
Why Finding Nyah?
"Nyah" represents purpose, clarity, and the journey toward finding your authentic self. We don't offer rigid programs; we build community circles. By collaborating with local organisations, using sustainable suppliers, and passionate educators, we ensure that every space we touch becomes a sanctuary for human connection.
